UPCOMING EVENTS
- Frederick Place in Rhinelander has a sizeable number of dates open for meals. If you can help out with one of these dates you can either call Frederick Place at 715-369-9777 or email Tammy Modic at tammymodic.frederickplace@ gmail.com
- Annual Concert featuring Frogwater Saturday, July 14, at 4 p.m at Piney Ridge. Come by car, by boat, or plane!
- Watch from the water— swimming, wading, on a SUP, or in a boat, or find a chair on the dock. As always Frogwater will play from the dock to entertain a flotilla of folks from near and far. It’s the waterworld’s summer high at Piney Ridge.
- In case you don’t know: Frogwater is the acoustic musical pairing of John and Susan Nicholson accompanied by their children Opal and Flynn. Renowned for their musical virtuosity and exuberant performances, they think of themselves as musical ambassadors of "eclectic acoustic peoples' music" spanned from Celtic to Delta blues, classical to pop with a healthy dose of unique, original material. Their innovative interpretations of traditional tunes span centuries. They tour whenever and wherever possible and enjoy playing festivals. They perform concerts and have become sought-after regulars at many clubs and pubs. Both John and Susan play an array of instruments, constantly mixing it up and having fun!
- For reservations. email woolpy@gmail.com. Donation $10-$20 per person all to the performers.
- Directions to our home from Paul Bunyan’s Restaurant on Highway 51 in Minocqua. Take Old Highway 70 west 1 mile to Dr. Pink on the left. Take Pink 0.8 miles south to Woolpy Drive on the right. Take Woolpy winding west 0.2 miles to the end at 8395 Woolpy Drive. Call (715) 356-6276 if you get lost.
- As with all of Tara and Jerry’s concerts, this one is sponsored by Bats in the Boathouse Press publisher of “Releasing Gillian’s Wolves,” “Raising Wild Ginger” and “Midnight Supper at the Rise and Shine” by Tara Woolpy and all of Dev Bentham’s redemptive gay romances.
- The next Fair Trade day at NUUF is Sunday, July 8. A sampling of coffee and chocolate will be available on July 8. We do not have individual bags of decaf coffee
